Cotton called this alternative paddle while Bob Maxey led the big Thursday dogs up to the LY and over to Stoneycreek. 8 of us* met at Patoma Wayside at 9:30 - used the River Runner put-in and were off the river by noon. Level was a medium 2.400 cfs on the Needles part - then 3,200 through Whitehorse. Alf did the Mousehole - pretty minimal, but fun. No mishaps. Altho Thursday, we had several other groups playing through. Many thanks to Bob Whiting, who's arranged for MCC members - we had several - to be accorded free launching by RR.
Surprise meeting with Miki Komlosh in a plastic tube and several children not her own. What gives?
