The Muddy Branch Alliance Picnic and Paddle will be held at Seneca Landing near Rileys Lock. CCA volunteers are needed to accompany novice paddlers in canoes as they paddle upstream on Seneca Creek. Bring your own boat and lunch or snack.

Shipwrecks are best seen at low water when the river is relatively clear, preferably at low tide. Recent rains have made the river muddy. This trip will be rescheduled for later in the year, if it ever stops raining.

This evening we screen an excellent documentary Trail Magic, The Grandma Gatewood Story, which is the tale of the first woman to solo through-hike the Appalachian Trail (at age 67 no less, and after raising 11 children). Fall is a great time to hike.
